Barcelona’s waters will host the next Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy, which celebrates its 48th edition on May 27-30, 2021.

It is one of the few events that has not been canceled at any time, since last year was still held, despite the pandemic, although it was postponed and was held in July. This year, thanks to the favorable evolution of the situation, it returns to its usual dates at the end of May.

The 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy will feature the usual ORC classes, and the J70 fleet. A good turnout is expected in this first scoring event for the Mediterranean Sailing Circuit in which the favorites, the ‘Rats On Fire’ from Rafael Carbonell, ‘L’Immens’ from Alexandre Laplaza and ‘Tramendu’ from Salvador Vieta, will be attending the trophy to defend their titles.

The 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy has scheduled three days of competitions. The regattas will take place from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 May, with a total of seven races planned for the ORC and ten for the J70, which will be held in two regatta fields. The 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy will finalize with the awards ceremony, which will be held on the same Sunday the 30th in the village of the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona.

The organization is working hard to develop the event with the maximum normality along with complying with all restrictions and security measures to offer the maximum sanitary guarantee.
