The festivities of Santa Eulalia, former patron of Barcelona, will be held from 6 to 12 February 2015.
Santa Eulalia, the winter festivity of Barcelona
Santa Eulalia is the former patron of Barcelona but the festivities are still held. In fact, it is now “co-patron” with the Mother of God of Mercy, La Mercè, which is in September,. This way, the festivities of Santa Eulalia, have become the winter festivities of Barcelona.
Like alltown festivities, Santa Eulalia is a popular and traditional celebration aimed to families and all kinds of typical activities as gegants, cercaviles, correfocs, castellers, sardanes, etc. are prepared.

Moreover, forthe fourth consecutive year, during the Santa Eulalia festivities, Llum Barcelona will be held. This is an initiative that converts several emblematic spaces of Barcelona into a space full of art and poetry at nightfall by lighting installations which are created especially each year by students and teachers of the schools of design, architecture and interior design of Barcelona.

Santa Eulalia is on the 12th of February
