MWC is back in Barcelona!

It is now almost two years since the 2020 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was cancelled because of a strange virus that was just starting to wreak havoc and that no one could have predicted would last so long. A cancellation that seemed impossible, as MWC is one of the most important congresses in the world and attracts huge numbers of people. In 2021 it had to change its dates and was held at the end of June in a hybrid format, with many companies absent.
But MWC is finally returning to Barcelona on its usual dates at the end of February. This year’s edition is scheduled to start on 28 February and end on 3 March. Although there are still a few weeks to go, the GSMA, the company that organises MWC, is committed to an in-person event and has stated that it will take all the precautions needed to provide a safe environment for everyone attending MWC 2022. It has published on its website all the requirements attendees must meet, including a vaccination certificate.
Under the slogan “Reconnecting an Industry and Community”, MWC 2022 is sure to bring the launch of the latest mobile phones, tablets and wearables from companies such as Samsung, Google, Nokia, Huawei, Sony, Oppo and Xiaomi, among others.
