Let’s run the Barcelona Marathon!

The traditional Barcelona marathon, the Zurich Marató de Barcelona, is here, celebrating its 42nd edition this year. Last year more than 17,000 runners of many different nationalities came to Barcelona to take part in this great city event.

The Zurich Marató Barcelona starts at 8.30 am on Av. Reina Maria Cristina, in front of the Montjuïc fountains. To cheer on the runners, the course will have several entertainment points with lots of music groups, batucada drummers, bastoners (stick dancers) and more.

Other activities have also been organised alongside the race, such as the Breakfast Run, the Kids Race, the Pasta Party and the Expo Sports. And thanks to a partnership with migranodearena.org, you can take part in the Zurich Marató de Barcelona for charity and support an NGO.

Despite the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus, both the Zurich Marató de Barcelona organisers and Barcelona City Council have decided to go ahead with the event, as every possible measure is being taken and the health authorities’ recommendations are being followed.
