48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy

Trofeo Vela Conde de Godo
  • What? 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy
  • When? 27 to 30 May 2021
  • Where? Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona

The waters off Barcelona will host the next Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy, which celebrates its 48th edition on 27–30 May 2021.

It is one of the events that has never been cancelled: last year it went ahead despite the pandemic, although it was postponed and held in July. This year, thanks to the improving situation, it returns to its usual dates at the end of May.

The 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy will feature the usual ORC classes and the J70 fleet. Good participation is expected in this first scoring event of the Mediterranean Sailing Circuit, where the favourites – Rafael Carbonell’s ‘Rats On Fire’, Alexandre Laplaza’s ‘L’Immens’ and Salvador Vieta’s ‘Tramendu’ – will be there to defend their titles.

The 48th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy has three days of racing scheduled. The regattas will run from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 May, with a total of seven races planned for the ORC classes and ten for the J70s, held on two race courses. The trophy will close with the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 30 May in the village of the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona.

The organisers are working to hold the event as normally as possible while complying with all restrictions and safety measures to offer maximum health guarantees.
