The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Trofeo Conde de Godó, is full of celebrations this year. On the one hand it is 65 years since its first edition in 1953, and on the other hand it is also celebrating 10 years of the sponsorship of Banc Sabadell, which has given the new name to the tournament.
The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell 2017 will take place from 22 to 30 April and thanks to the prestige enshrined during all these years, it will have the participation of some of the best tennis players in the world such as Rafa Nadal and Kei Nishikori (the last champions of the tournament), Dominic Thiem, David Ferrer or Jack Sock.
In addition to the individual tournament, there will also be a big doubles table, with the current # 1 in the world, the Finn Henri Kontinen with his track partner, Australian John Peers. And from the 27th, the 3rd edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell sub-14 will be held.
One of the novelties of this year is that all the tracks will be equipped with television cameras, so all the matches of the individual tournament will be recorded.
Outside the tennis tracks, the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell will also count with the Village, the Fan Boulevard and the Fan Corner, areas prepared to complete the visitor experience with more entertainment options such as shops, food stands or promotional events and other activities that will allow visitors to be close to the players.
